Safety at
Wright’s Amusements
At Wright’s Amusements, safety is our number one priority. All rides are permitted and inspected at the beginning of each year and then re-inspected at the start and end of each operational day. This rigorous inspection process ensures that every ride is in top condition for our guests.
To maintain regulatory standards, licensing requirements, and rider safety, our rides undergo consistent on-site inspections conducted by local and state inspectors. Wright’s Amusements presents only rides that are modern, well-illuminated, and in safe operating condition.
During the winter months, each piece of equipment undergoes extensive scrutiny. In preparation for the upcoming season, we inspect, test, and evaluate every component in our ride inventory to ensure they meet our high safety standards.
Wright’s Amusements also operates all food and drink stands in compliance with state and federal food safety and sanitation regulations pertaining to temporary food services. We receive local licensing as we travel to each community, ensuring that our food offerings are safe and delicious.
Riders also play an important role in ensuring a safe trip to the carnival. It is crucial that riders are responsible and follow posted rules and restrictions for their own safety. We recommend the following general safety rules and request that our clients and events also post these rules on their websites and promotional materials:
- Read posted signs and regulations on each ride or attraction.
- Walk, do not run, on the midway or ride platforms.
- Stay seated until the ride has come to a complete stop and the ride operator has given you permission to disembark.
- Ensure that all safety devices are secure and tight.
- Watch a complete cycle of the ride or attraction before riding to understand its movements.
- Measure your child and do not allow them to ride any rides for which they do not meet the posted height or weight requirements.
- Attendees cannot wear a cast or other medical device when riding. Previous injuries can be worsened on amusement rides.
- Riders must wear closed-toe shoes; no flip-flops are allowed for the safety of our guests.
