Wright’s Amusements

There is no greater joy in a community than when Wright’s Amusements comes to town! With dazzling lights, exhilarating rides, and the sounds of laughter and excitement filling the air, we create unforgettable moments for families and kids of all ages. From rides that zip forward and backward to those that spin around and soar up and down, we bring thrills and chills wherever we go.

Our Story

Once Upon a Time…

Wright’s Amusements was founded in 1962 by Floyd Wright and his two brothers, Frank and Charles. Their mission was simple: to provide safe and fun entertainment for families. Now, over 60 years later, that tradition continues under the leadership of John Ring, Floyd’s nephew, who has been a part of the carnival his entire life.

“We have more than 40 rides, plus a variety of midway games and delicious food options for all our attendees,” says John Ring. “We’re proud of our long-standing partnerships with fairs, malls, nonprofits, and festivals, many of which have hosted us for over 20 years. These relationships ensure that we bring the best rides to every community we visit.”

How We Do It

The People of Wright’s Amusements

Setting up the carnival in a new location is no small feat. It takes 2-3 days to erect all the rides, set up the midway and food booths, and prepare for the public. In addition to our full-time staff of about 75 people, we hire another 20 to 30 local workers to help with the setup and teardown.

Depending on the community and the available space, we can bring our full carnival with about 40 rides or split into smaller units with around 20 rides each. This flexibility allows us to cater to both large and small audiences. Our operational and management team includes owner John Ring, Kerry Ardrey, and Greg “Opy” Vogt. Opy describes life with the carnival as “just having fun with each other; we are like a big family.”
